Elisha Cuthbert and Dion Phaneuf Married

It’s a Canadian royal wedding!

Actress Elisha Cuthbert married Toronto Maple Leafs captain Dion Phaneuf on Saturday at St. James Catholic Church on Prince Edward Island.

A reception followed at Phaneuf’s waterfront home. Here are pictures of the couple and the venue. Pretty romantic, don’t you agree?

The bride wore a long-sleeved lace wedding dress and arrived at the church in a vintage black Camaro, a wedding gift for her groom. The bridesmaids wore pale pink.

Elisha has such a classic, feminine, fairy tale wedding style, we’d love to see her in something from our Ever Collection. Maybe the Eden & Ellery Set. Dion is a hockey player, so we’d pick the ruggedly handsome Emmet Wedding Band for him.

Cutbert and Phaneuf having been dating since 2008, and have been engaged since 2012.

Congrats to the happy couple!

We Love: Chanel Wedding Style

Remember when Keira Knightly recycled her little blush pink Chanel ballerina dress for her wedding?

And a pregnant and radiant Drew Barrymore wore Chanel for an entirely different, still beautiful effect.

And our featured image, supermodel bride Kristen McMenamy at her wedding with Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld and fellow model Naomi Campbell, via this lovely link to Vogue Weddings.

Since then, we’ve been pretty enticed by the allure of Chanel-inspired touches for weddings.

Read and adore this slideshow on the 50 chicest French women of all time. This is from Coco Chanel’s entry:

“The first couturière as famous as her clients, Coco Chanel was an iconoclast that redefined the modern woman. Challenging class barriers and staid notions of good taste, Chanel took inspiration from menswear and worked with new materials, incorporating pockets, tweeds, and jersey into her lexicon of soft suits and easy sheaths. If you’ve ever worn a little black dress, designer fragrance, or costume jewelry — and you have — you’ve got Mademoiselle to thank.”

And another amazing slideshow. This one’s all Chanel.

Thank you, Mlle. Chanel!

Here’s a crazy-cool vintage Chanel costume jewelry necklace. Would it be exquisite against a simple wedding dress? Perhaps something Great Gatsby- inspired?

This beautiful inspiration shoot is Chanel-inspired. We’re loving all the black. It looks so chic and sophisticated.

So how much do you love Chanel wedding style?

US Hikes, Cupcake Sparklers & A Deployment Return

This Independence Day long weekend, we’re feeling emotions like Mariah Carey.

The 4th of July always gets us thinking about our homeland, and brings up all sorts of feelingssentimental, celebratory, and sometimes they run deep.

We proudly make all our rings here in America. Sure, we could do it cheaper, but we couldn’t do it better or more ethically.

Here’s how you do stars & stripes. Marc Jacobs stars. And here we have stripes, courtesy of Real Simple. Oh, and here’s how you do Fireworks.

Take a walk. From Apartment Therapy, some resources for U.S. hikes you can take.

We now declare cupcake sparklers mandatory for all parties, great or small.

We’ve mentioned Moment Junkie before, but they did it again. Our featured image above is this Deployment Return, aka your instant cry of the day.

The bride’s brother was deployed and surprised her by returning for her wedding.

We Love: Corset & Bustier Wedding Dresses

Are you a fan of corset and bustier wedding dresses? This year we’re seeing some designs that meet our standards of Refined Simplicity. These from Bold Bride? Every. One. Is. Gorgeous!

Here’s a magical corseted wedding dress from BHLDN with a pop of color from a yellow flower.

And this is kind of incredible. It’s a corset detail on the softest dress imaginable. So unexpected!

So what kind of ring goes with a bold, yet feminine sense of style? Cassandra would be absolutely perfect!

A Royal Wedding: Princess Madeleine of Sweden

Princess Madeleine of Sweden married British-born American financier Chris O’Neill, 38, in Stockholm’s Royal Palace on June 8th. The bride wore a phenomenal Valentino wedding gown with a train truly fit for a princess.

The glamorous wedding was attended by New York society mavens and European royals such as The Earl and Countess of Wessex and Princess Charlene of Monaco.

The groom broke with tradition to place a sweet little kiss on Princess Madeleine’s hand during the fairy tale ceremony. How gallant!

May they live happily ever after!

Our Ring Try-On App & a bow themed party

First, we have to talk about our new app. We announced it here, but we’re getting a bunch of press for it and that makes us really happy.

Centurion jewelry wrote about us here! And thank you very much Diamonds in the Library, for blogging about it here.

The Daily Jewel ran an item on us here, called “Unlimited Access,” which we love! National Jeweler mentioned the app here, along with InStore and PriceScope.

We’re so excited for every bride & groom, everywhere to have the chance to try on our designs! Click here to download it free for iPad and iPhone.

Now that we tooted out new app’s horn a bit, we’re ready to tell you about some cool ideas and inspirations that are intriguing us this week.

We know it’s a kid’s party, but the bow theme is brilliant and we love it.

We like reading about Champagne. Not as much as we like drinking it, but check out the misty picture of the Moet & Chandon Vineyard!

We love Champers with sweets, so we’d especially love Apple Crisp a la Mode, and a bottle of Moet & Chandon’s 2004 Grand Vintage Rose, naturally.

And lastly, a bike on the beach? We know it’s a bit silly, but the picture (featured above) is so amazingly romantic!

Check out this couple’s inspiring love story of a long-distance, long term love!

So what kind of magic do you have up your sleeve this weekend?

We’d love to have you ‘Like’ us over on Facebook!

george lucas married

Do you (or someone you love) love Star Wars? Then we have news for you!

Star Wars creator George Lucas married Mellody Hobson at his Skywalker Ranch in Marin, California on Saturday.

The wedding was a who’s who of famous names, with Robert DeNiro, Oprah Winfrey, Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart in attendance.

New Jersey senator Bill Bradley escorted the bride down the aisle and journalist Bill Moyers was the officiant. Then Van Morrison played the reception and Steven Spielberg gave a toast.

We found this handy guide to the bride’s considerable accomplishments, in case you were wondering.

Lucas and Hobson announced their engagement in January following a seven-year relationship.

Huge news: our virtual try on app is here!

PriceScope covered the story here, and this is what they had to say:

We love jewelry apps that make engagement ring shopping fun, so when Jeff Cooper shared its new virtual try-on app for the iPad and iPhone, we had to give it a whirl…

As you can see from my screen snaps below, I had some fun trying on rings from Jeff Cooper’s Heirloom collection. And what’s cool is that you can take a photo of your own hand to see what the designs look like on you.

Our app is available for iPad and iPhone, it’s free, and it makes it ridiculously easy to wear and share your favorite Jeff Cooper rings! Give it a try here.

We Love: The Floral Trend

Sweet summer florals. Need we say more?

We were a bit ahead of the trend with our Laurel Collection, which debuted last year. We had this feeling fresh floral motifs were coming back and they did, in a big way.

We found so many beautiful things around the internet, so enjoy!

This is the best slideshow from InStyle magazine on how to wear modern florals. We would LOVE to see one of our brides rocking that Rochas floral dress from the first slide.

This floral veil from BHLDN is so incredible we want to get married all over again!

And these floral elephant cake toppers are breaking our heart. So adorable.

Want to see the best floral bridal party ever? Here you go!

Pricey, but how pretty is this delicate gold flower bracelet?

While we’re dreaming, this Valentino black on black floral bag is the best. Wait, maybe this one is.

This has been a wonderfully fun trip down the garden path. We love our fans, so please ‘Like’ us on Facebook!

We Love: Solstice 2013 & Summer Style

Yesterday was the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year (in the northern hemisphere.) And summer starts today! We’re loving this time of year and we’re excited to make the most of it.

We blogged about Midsummer Night’s Dream Wedding Style, and we’re still interested in everything that captures that magical, dreamy, summery feeling.

We’re feeling braids and ethereal makeup – for weddings and for whenever. Here’s a slideshow of “Midsummer” hair and makeup looks.

This dress from Free People embodies the aesthetic. So does this one, more demurely.

This bridal party is rocking the “Midsummer” style.

Mint-pea pesto has got to be the summery-est pasta you can get. Bonus points for being simple and beautiful.

You may already know our own David Cooper is a cycling fiend. Homemade Chocolate Almond Cherry Energy Bites sound like the ideal pre- or post-gym snack. Not to mention ridiculously easy to make. We love raw food recipes for summer.

A designer’s dream cabin in Japan. That’s what we mean when we say Refined Simplicity!

And the dinner party topic of the weekend is… The 12 tendencies of highly creative people.

Have an elegant, creative, delicious summer weekend!
