Keira Knightly’s Wedding to James Righton

Can these names sound more delightfully British?

Keira Knightley married James Righton in France on Saturday. And apparently she’s worn her breezy Rodarte dress before, though she styled it with a classic Chanel jacket and ballet flats for the wedding.

We love her confidence! It’s not about the flowers, the dress. the hair and makeup. It’s all about the beautiful bride, with no distractions. It’s refreshing!

Cheers to the fashionable newlyweds!

Wedding Trend We Love: Feathers

Our authorized retailer JCK named our Anneliese Engagement Ring its ‘Jewel of the Month,‘ and it got us thinking about the the feather wedding motifs we’ve been loving.

Here’s feather inspiration from Brooklyn Bride. The cake is epic.

We’re really feeling the chic clutch instead of a bouquet. It draws more attention to the ring!

A feather bracelet is such an easy way to wear the trend.

And the famous Miss James from Bleubird blog held her reception beneath these gold-tipped feathers, for a super bohemian take on the trend.

We’ll love you forever if youLike’ us on Facebook!

The Perfect Mother’s Day Present

Moms are the best. And can you think of a more perfect Mother’s Day present?

Co-designed by our David Cooper and legendary tattoo artist Mike Rubendall, heirloom pendants are a brilliant gift.

The diamonds make it an heirloom.

The balanced, beautiful composition makes it classic.

And the tattoo artist makes it cool.

Be extra cute and buy her the M for Mom.

reid scott engaged

Cute couple alert!

Veep actor Reid Scott is engaged to his long time girlfriend, the beautiful and talented Elspeth Keller. He proposed in Palm Springs, but not before flying secretly to San Francisco to ask her father first.

Awww.

He proposed with a bold and intricate engagement ring bedecked with Art Deco details. Here’s our version of the look, the movie star worthy Halle Engagement Ring.

Best of luck to these two, they make the sweetest couple!

We Love: Hammocks & Nail Art

We had a carrot cake with these antique candles carved into a French Renaissance bride and groom that I’d been saving since I was a teenager for my wedding day. It was super relaxed with all the families hanging together on the beach. Pure bliss. Everyone left at noon and we went back to life as usual.

That’s Jemima Kirke from the HBO series Girls, describing her wedding.

Pure bliss.

Here’s to a weekend as relaxed and lovely as Jemima’s beach wedding. We’re thinking about buying a hammock and doing some light internet reading & pinning. How ’bout you?

A mind-blowing pizza recipe? This is an excellent start.

And we need these chocolate bars. Okay, maybe we don’t need them, but how good do they look? Honestly.

Amazing, stylish hammocks that make a positive impact! Definitely where we want to spend next weekend.

Design Love Fest takes the quirky style to a chic Airbnb in Barcelona and everything is beautiful and wildly bohemian. Kind of a cool alternative to a hotel honeymoon.

We’ve never seen bedding like this. Painterly and cool.

The best wedding nail ideas.

And that’s it for now!

Nate Berkus Engaged

Celebrity interior designer Nate Berkus is engaged! And the other lucky guy is fellow interior designer Jeremiah Brent, who we love from our guilty pleasure reality show, The Rachel Zoe project. The couple made it official atop Machu Picchu in Peru. Can you think of anything more romantic?

Congrats to the stylish and happy couple!

We really love matching Emmet Wedding Bands for Nate and Jeremiah. The hand-hammered finish gives a tactile, earthy quality to a clean, modern ring. That’s just the kind of understated contrast makes their designs so beautiful.

Links We Love: French Polynesia & Doughnut Cake

Our friend posted on Facebook, “You can never hug and kiss your loved ones enough.” Which expresses our sentiments exactly. We want to spend this weekend holding our dearest near, and trying to spread a little kindness wherever the opportunity arises. Here’s where you can donate to those who’ve been affected by the tragic events on April 15th.

It’s a pretty major splurge, but we’d love to snuggle down with our family in these heart print sheets from D. Porthault. They could be a great wedding registry item.

The styling in this bridal-inspired fashion editorial in French Glamour is too edgy for most, but the accessories would be amazing on anyone.

These retro wedding cakes are some of the most original we’ve seen. They look kind of Midcentury Modern, no?

Want something a little less fancy? We’re dying for an occasion to make a doughnut cake.

Why are we so obsessed with cake? Because.

We blogged about Gatsby style here, and now Brooks Brothers has announced an entire Great Gatsby themed collection.

We love this rosé colored dress and mood board. We’d add this.

If you’re planning a beach honeymoon or just getting ready for summer, Beyoncé and H&M have some bikinis to show you. We love the photography and Bey’s womanly curves.

Where shall I wear them, you ask? Ideally, French Polynesia. Where the water is turquoise and the breeze is vanilla-scented.

We loved seeing the Orchid Show. If you’re near NYC, get there before it’s over!

Trend We Love: Scalloped Details

Since we read this post on Brooklyn Bride, we’re seeing scallops all over. A scalloped neckline, a scalloped hemline, they’re everywhere all of a sudden. We love scallops for a unifying theme for a wedding, and we love them most when they’re more retro-sophisticated than cutesy. Here’s the best of the best we’ve seen.

It’s rare to say this about a veil, but this sheer, scalloped fingertip veil is really sexy.

Here’s a garter to go with it.

And here’s the dress.

For the bridesmaids.

For the honeymoon.

And the cake.

For the scalloped engagement ring, there’s Arielle, from our Arabesque Collection.

Thinking scallops on a wedding band, and a bit simpler? Here’s Lola, from our nature inspired Laurel Collection.

They also look gorgeous together, as in our featured image above. So what do you think of scallops? Love it or leave it? Seen any great ones we missed? Leave it in the comments.

We’d love if you’d like us on Facebook.

We Love: Nars Blush & Vintage Lace

Let’s forget about tax day looming, and just focus on these links we’re lovin’.

Are you the jealous type? This is hilarious.

Talk about dressing to impress. Is this (scroll down) the most perfectly intimidatingly grown up outfit ever?

You can’t go wrong with this perfect blush. Have you tried it?

Speaking of blush, we’ll be posting more rose gold engagement rings next week!

How cute is this illustrated margarita recipe? We’ll bring the guacamole.

Reminds us of beach weather, which reminds us of these iconic photos.

And this, let’s always remember.

Have a lovely weekend, and maybe a margarita!

We Love: Claire Pettibone Spring 2013

These detail photos of Claire Pettibone’s Spring 2013 trunk show convey just the kind of sumptuous, vintage-y feeling we wanted for our own spring collection. With Great Gatsby wedding style making a comeback, intricately detailed, luxe wedding attire is looking more 1920s free spirit (and less stuffy and dated.) Click through our slideshow above for our favorite detail shots by the stylish blogger Fallon Elizabeth of ‘A Lovely Being.’

We’re swooning over the gowns on Claire Pettibone’s website, especially decadent Hazel. We’d love to see it together with our botanically-inspired Lucia Wedding Set.

We’re also loving simple, yet suitably siren-sque Clio. Wouldn’t it look perfect together with our Eden?

And aristocratic Belle, which we could totally see on Lady Mary from Downton. To be paired with the regal Hayden Engagement Ring.

What’s your favorite Claire Pettibone dress + Jeff Cooper ring combination? We’d love to hear about it.

We’d also adore it if you’d like us on Facebook!
