These glamorous luxury caftans make us want to book a flight to somewhere tropical immediately! A must for a beach honeymoon, don’t you think?

Is it too soon after Hanukkah and Christmas for a cookie recipe? Meyer lemons are the epitome of fresh and light, so it’s fine.

No? Okay, here’s a refreshing grapefruit cocktail, then.

we love: red anemones & the best holiday cocktails

Thanksgiving and Hanukkah are over, leaving us with Christmas and New Year’s ahead. So mull some cider, grab a throw, and cozy up to some fun links that will (hopefully) inspire a glorious weekend!

The psychology of color! So much fun to ponder.

Use it to design your own Jonathan Adler. Fun!

We’re in love with the Christmas-y pop of color in this wedding inspiration from 100 Layer Cake. It would be amazing for Valentine’s Day, too.

we love: doing everything better

“What ever you do, do it well. Do it so well that when people see you do it they will want to come back and see you do it again and they will want to bring others and show them how well you do what you do.” ― Walt Disney

This week, we’re learning how to do more things, even better. So here are some clever ideas how to do a lot of things, a little bit better. If you have any great tips to share, tell us in the comments!

Here’s how to help the victims of Typhoon Haiyan.

How to eat the healthiest lunch.

How to dress. The 10 fashion commandments, by J Crew’s Jenna Lyons.

How to get superhuman energy.

And here’s how not to mess up your day. (We love the part about only wearing clothes you love. So true!)

How to start a houseplant collection.

How to start a necklace collection.

How to peel a head of garlic in 10 seconds.

Use it to make the best garlic bread.

And how to feel glamorous every morning, without fail.

How to take natural and relaxed group photos. Check these out. So much fun.

And last, but not least, how to find the perfect engagement ring.

Have a swell weekend, everyone!

Ask Jeff Cooper: Pavé Diamonds

What’s trendy in wedding ring fashion right now? We blogged our predictions for the year here, but our friends over at The Knot posted an article where they picked 4 top trends in wedding rings, and they’re all trends we design for! Can you guess what they are?

Trend #1 is Pavé Diamonds! The Knot had this to say:

In the elegant pavé setting, tiny, faceted, fully cut stones are set as close together as possible so you can’t see the metal around them (see picture above). Think of it as if the metal band has been paved with diamonds. The pavé look offers bling without being outlandish. We’re seeing pavé in metals from yellow gold to platinum.

And here are a few favorites from our dazzling, but refined Tandem Collection.

Do you love it, or do you love it? We think pavé diamonds are so chic and glamorous.

So, what do you think the other three ring trends will be? Stay tuned!

creative party ideas & spiked hot chocolate

November can feel a tiny bit dark and drab, so we’re trying to create a warm & bright vibe this week.

And on that note, how fun are these party ideas from Apartment Therapy?

Whether or not you have a country house, woodsy-chic touches like these trays from Fog Linen and these bark-covered votives feel just right for November. Great inspiration for wedding decorations, too.

And here’s a charmingly retro playlist to warm up your kitchen.

little black dress with a twist. And it’s on sale. Where couldn’t you wear this?

And who doesn’t want to drink decadent hot chocolate? And here are 15 ways to spike it, if you’re so inclined.

For a decadent treat that has no calories, we love these fun Benefit holiday tins. Adorable and festive!

In case you’re curious, or really, insanely ambitious: What Beyonce eats.

Not feeling crazy-driven? Just kick back and relax with some sparkly wonders.

And the best-dressed sparkly socialites of the 2013 MOMA Film Benefit. We love art-chic!

So what’s sparking your interest on the internet this weekend?

non white wedding dresses & the vera wang color collection

Why should the bridesmaids have all the fun? Brides who love color can personalize their wedding looks with a splash of chic, festive color.

Here’s one of our favorite mood boards, from Brooklyn Bride.

And bridal goddess Vera Wand has just debuted a bridal collection full of color.

And fashion bible Lucky.com posted this cool slideshow of non-white wedding dresses.

If you love colorful bridal attire, you might just love color in your wedding rings. Here are a few options for rings with color, that are still timeless and refined.

In fact we love “Color” as a wedding theme. Just check out our featured image, from Green Wedding Shoes. We love guest portraits at weddings, when they’re done creatively. And these guests are just perfection. Pure sunshine on a cloudy day.

Do you love nontraditional color for weddings?

Bat Print, Clay Crafts & Isabel Marant for H&M

In honor of Halloween, we’re loving links that are arty, edgy, spooky, magical and just plain fall-festive. Grab a cup of mulled wine and an iPad and let’s go!

Amazing bat prints for the season.

We’re not super “crafty,” but we so want to do these chic clay crafts. The ring holders, especially. What a great engagement gift!

Apartment Therapy, stop making us want to DIY! This 10 foot candelabra is pretty great, too. We’d love it even more with more sophisticated candle colors.

Another thing to make? We can’t help loving this fall bouquet recipe.

Isabel Marant for H&M is the perfect way to give a chic designer edge to your fall wardrobe basics. And it’s going to be available online, which is swell if you ask us.

We love these creative, fantastical dreamscapes, starring an adorable baby!

And proving that words of love can be a little edgy too, is our featured image, by one of our favorite Young British Artists, Tracey Emin.

Finally, we’ll leave you with this, a true Halloween Classic. Have a spooky scary weekend!

Refined Simplicity & Marcella Hazan

“Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” Leonardo DaVinci.

In honor of the late, great food writer Marcella Hazan, the maven of simplicity, it’s all about simple, relaxing pleasures this week.

Here’s Marcella’s famous 3 ingredient tomato sauce. Nothing could be simpler, or better.

The colorful office supplies company Poppin is having an anniversary sale with 20% off everything. Their tagline is “Work Happy, ” and their design aesthetic is sleek and contemporary with every candy color you can imagine. So much fun.

And here’s a simple way to do good and look good. Pick something gorgeous to wear (or to share) from the Live in Pink Collection, and 60% of the purchase goes to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Here’s a cool find. Flower paintings with a simple gesture that cuts through the prettiness.

A simple way to give his wedding outfit a little personality: a statement shoe for the groom would look great for a vintage-themed wedding.

Pumpkin bread, made with Amish simplicity.

Sometimes, it’s simpler to say “I’ll have what she’s having.” Especially when it’s all this chic.

Have a simply gorgeous weekend!

We love a good party outfit, and this gold dress and hairstyle are so amazing! We might save this one for the “official” holidays, though.

A fun little flow chart for choosing a wine.

You gotta love fancy sweatshirts.

Drinks I want to try,” from Bleubird blog.

Nine pumpkin recipes.

Heirloom-quality travel gear that’s meant to last forever and age beautifully. (Great wedding gift!)

And on the other end of the spectrum, 30 bags that look expensive, but aren’t.

Happy reading!
