Ask Jeff Cooper: Vintage Look Engagement Rings

We talked about amazing pavé diamonds last week, so what else is trendy in wedding ring fashion right now?

Trend #2 is The Vintage Look! The Knot had this to say:

What’s old is decidedly new this season. The subtle and delicate look of vintage-inspired rings is in. Stones on these rings are recognizable for their Old European round center cut, but you’ll also see gorgeous Asscher cuts and others too. The defining details: minimal scroll-like engraving, microset (tiny, half-point) diamonds, delicate milgrain work (raised beaded edges), and filigree.

And we have this, our vintage-inspired Heirloom Collection, with millgrain edges and a feminine, antique sensibility.

Ask Jeff Cooper: Pavé Diamonds

What’s trendy in wedding ring fashion right now? We blogged our predictions for the year here, but our friends over at The Knot posted an article where they picked 4 top trends in wedding rings, and they’re all trends we design for! Can you guess what they are?

Trend #1 is Pavé Diamonds! The Knot had this to say:

In the elegant pavé setting, tiny, faceted, fully cut stones are set as close together as possible so you can’t see the metal around them (see picture above). Think of it as if the metal band has been paved with diamonds. The pavé look offers bling without being outlandish. We’re seeing pavé in metals from yellow gold to platinum.

And here are a few favorites from our dazzling, but refined Tandem Collection.

Are you a fan of corset and bustier wedding dresses? This year we’re seeing some designs that meet our standards of Refined Simplicity. These from Bold Bride? Every. One. Is. Gorgeous!

Here’s a magical corseted wedding dress from BHLDN with a pop of color from a yellow flower.

And this is kind of incredible. It’s a corset detail on the softest dress imaginable. So unexpected!

We Love: The Floral Trend

Sweet summer florals. Need we say more?

We were a bit ahead of the trend with our Laurel Collection, which debuted last year. We had this feeling fresh floral motifs were coming back and they did, in a big way.

We found so many beautiful things around the internet, so enjoy!

This is the best slideshow from InStyle magazine on how to wear modern florals. We would LOVE to see one of our brides rocking that Rochas floral dress from the first slide.

This floral veil from BHLDN is so incredible we want to get married all over again!

Trend We Love: Black Wedding Dresses & Details

It’s no surprise that so many luxury brands use the color black. It evokes sleek good taste and sophistication, and it goes with everything. It’s black tie and the little black dress.

We love basic black because it makes our diamonds really pop!

Remember when Mr. Big bought Carrie Bradshaw a black diamond engagement ring? It sent the message that he truly “got” her like no other man could.

Courtney from Brooklyn Bride put it this way, “If you’re looking for color scheme that’s truly effortless, black and white really is the simplest and most direct route to a chic and sophisticated event.”

Simple, chic and sophisticated is exactly what we love, so here’s our list of Black & White inspiration!

Wedding Trend We Love: Feathers

Our authorized retailer JCK named our Anneliese Engagement Ring its ‘Jewel of the Month,‘ and it got us thinking about the the feather wedding motifs we’ve been loving.

Here’s feather inspiration from Brooklyn Bride. The cake is epic.

We’re really feeling the chic clutch instead of a bouquet. It draws more attention to the ring!

A feather bracelet is such an easy way to wear the trend.

And the famous Miss James from Bleubird blog held her reception beneath these gold-tipped feathers, for a super bohemian take on the trend.

Meet Larissa Rose: New Rose Gold Engagement Rings

We’ll be debuting some of our new designs in the coming weeks, here, on Facebook, and on Instagram.

And we couldn’t resist leading with our Larissa Rose Engagement Ring and Larissa Rose Wedding Set. We’re really feeling the botanical motif and blush of color for a spring engagement.

We Love: Mismatched Bridesmaids Dresses

We really, really love them. The more creative, the better, as long as it’s in great taste.

Here are our top three sources for inspiration.

1. We’re really feeling these ‘maids dress color stories over on 100 Layer Cake.

2. And we thought these vintage bridesmaid dresses from ‘a living space’ would be cool for a super bohemian wedding.

3. Finally, BHLDN has the most on trend color schemes. Your bridesmaids definitely won’t complain about looking dated.

We Love: Ombre Weddings

Keeping tabs on wedding trends is one of our favorite things, and ombre is one trend that clearly isn’t going anywhere. When done well, that subtle shift from deep to pale, or hue to hue is the loveliest. Maybe ombre hair is on its way out, but ombre wedding dresses, ombre wedding cakes and ombre bouquets? Still awesome.
